Very often taking photos in the city has much in common with playing the lottery. You can never know if there will be anything interesting at all to capture and you need a lot of luck to immortalize a truly extraordinary moment.
This can vary from all kinds of unusual situations or street life scenes, rare and visually interesting weather conditions to beautiful, picturesque places. Some of those will be easier to find than the others, but in any case it is essential to be in the right place at the right time.
While hoping and looking for these rare occasions, I try to shoot something much more widespread in the urban jungle, namely, men in suits. They can be easily observed on pedestrian crossings, sneaking in the shadows of buildings, holding their briefcases, sometimes they disappear in a crowd of people on the sidewalk.
Whenever I manage to have one of them on the picture, their black, distinguishable silhouette gives something mysterious and very lively to the whole image.
Being quite easy to hunt down, all those guys are definitely one of my favorite photo shooting themes.
