Recently Paris is so cold and rainy that it's way much harder than usual to gather some motivation and go shoot outside. What's more, as a photographer I'm quite used to the situation where 2-3 hours of walking around the city doesn't translate into successful photo shooting. At such times, I usually try to focus on a particular element that guarantees the quality of the picture. The possibilities here are endless. It can be a composition, light or one of my absolute favorites - color.
Directing attention to something so clearly defined simplifies the task and allows, at least temporarily, to lose myself in the activity, stay 100% focused and forget all possible difficulties such as unpleasant aura or lack of inspiration.
The effects of this technique can be surprisingly successful. After all, at this time of year, green trees and bushes are almost everywhere and I always manage to end up finding some lovely, red coffee tables, and then everything goes great guns ;)
