... that few people seem to know and I don't think that many native Parisians have ever heard of.
The Musee des Arts Forains, dedicated to funfair objects located within the Pavillons de Bercy is definitely one of the most incredible places in Paris. Sumptuous chandeliers hanging from the trees in the garden, unicorns, the baroque splendor and the vibe of the Venice carnival - all this makes up for the eerie atmosphere of this unusual place.
The beautiful collection is composed of objects dating between 1850-1950, and it includes merry-go-rounds and carousels, German swings, hundred-year-old bicycles, Japanese billiards, a Parisian Waiter Race and many more.
What makes this place even more special is that all those beautifully restored attractions are still working and you can have a ride on many of them and even try out some vintage games!
