After a little rest in Paris, the time has come for another dose of adventure – a 16-days trip in Italy, starting with a lovely and unfortunately, very short stay at Lake Como.
Southern sun, narrow and winding streets and the most picturesque mountains all around. The little town of Bellagio has it all and it’s hard not to surrender to the charm of this place. The mountains surrounding the lake are dotted with many other little towns that are no less enchanting. Sadly enough, due to the short timing, I was only able to see the majority of them from the boat.
After only one but very intense day in Como, I went to Milan for the very first time.
The Milan cathedral and Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II, Brera district located in the historical core of the city, Porta Genova with its lively bars and restaurants and unique atmosphere by the Naviglio Grande canal – these are only some of the places that I had the chance to visit during 2 days. The city is pretty big and one should be prepared for lots of walking unless you decide to take the subway which is fast and easy to use.
Right now I’m already in the third destination, Venice, but my heart is still in Milan that I enjoyed a lot and there are still many photos from there to be shared with you :)
Stay tuned as the trip continues through the Dolomites, Firenze, Rome and Sicily. Many more pictures will follow on next Monday.
