It looks like autumn has finally came to Paris. Time runs so fast and it's hard to believe that it's already October. As a photographer I couldn't be more happy about it. Not only there are beautiful, rusty colors slowly appearing on the trees, but also it's getting much easier to find that incredible, afternoon light, that makes the whole city look like it's immersed in the golden glow.
There's no need to wait for it until 8:30pm, like during summer. If the weather is fine, the ideal light conditions start around 5pm. At that time, the beautiful, golden light begins to penetrate the urban fabric and brings out a lovely glow, reflecting from light-gray buildings.
When the streets seem to be literally running down with gold and the passers-by are casting long shadows on the pavements, I know that it's my time to shoot. Have you ever heard of "chasing light"? Well, that's it!
And sometimes, when you have a little bit of luck, the golden light gives way to an unusual, pinkish glow. The whole show lasts no longer than 10 minutes and it's pretty rare to be observed. One has to be even more lucky to be outdoors and equipped with a camera at that precise moment. This is how it's like:
Looks pretty, isn't it? :)
I'll be missing this light and autumn vibes a little bit, while heading to a new destination, where there is still summer and colors are mostly blue.
